ASO GROUP originated from ASO Acciai Speciali Ospitaletto, established in 1971 by Aldo Artioli, a businessman and metallurgical chemistry expert, has pursued a growth strategy through investments and acquisition to become today one of the leading group active on the international markets of special steels, hydraulics components, power and industrial transformers, forgings, and switchboards for industrial electric power distribution.
In 2011 ASO GROUP took over SPS S.p.A, a company founded in 1992 in Italy - Verona.
Having more than 20 years of experience in production of chrome plated bars for hydraulic cylinders, automotive and earth moving machinery ,the taking over has brought a new type of business to ASO GROUP. The main customers were the global OEM and with this acquisition ASO GROUP understood the possibilities of the Hydraulic Components Market.
After changing the name of the company in ASO SPS S.p.A and after the implementation of their own winning values and vision, ASO GROUP made another wise and intelligent decision in 2014.
Taking everybody by surprise, ASO GROUP took over Cromsteel Industries SA, one of the biggest players in the field of manufacturing high technology products for hydraulics & pneumatics component industry, having products such as chrome plated bars and tubes, skived and roller burnished/honed tubes plus precision linear shafts.
With this strategic move, ASO GROUP finalized the creation of its own division of hydraulic and pneumatic components named today ASO HYDRAULICS & PNEUMATICS formed from ASO SPS and ASO CROMSTEEL.
Now, ASO HYDRAULICS & PNEUMATICS is employing more than 650 people that are working in premises of around 230.000 sqm (other constructions in progress), distributing in 78 different countries, products and services for its Customers.
