Santa Bernarda Cruzeiros, Lda. 3.86

A "Santa Bernarda" foi construida no ano de 1968 na costa atlântica francesa, em Baiona. Até 1992 serviu como pesqueiro no Atlântico Norte e na Biscaia sob o nome "Le Trident".
Em 1995, já retirada da pesca, deu entrada no porto de POrtimão, onde a tripulação abandonou a embarcação por problemas técnicos. Foi quando a "Santa Bernarda Cruzeiros Lda." adquiriu o antigo pesqueiro.
A embarcação foi levada para o estaleiro onde foram desenvolvidos os planos para a modificação. Após 14 meses de planeamento e aquisi¸ão de licenças por fim iniciamos as obras na "Santa Bernarda" em Outubro de 1996. Foi elevado a popa e renovado todo o convês e as tábuas do costado com madeira cambala.
Todos os tanques foram construídos em aço fino e o motor foi completamente revisado.
Após o lançamento à água em 1999 os mastros foram erectos e os acabamentos finalizados em 2000e efectuadas as últimas vistorias pelos peritos da Autoridade Naval de Lisboa.
Desde Outubro de 2002 a "Santa Bernarda" funciona regularmente a partir do porto de Portimão. A nossa área estende-se de Sagres e Lagos a oeste a Albufeira, Quarteira e Vilamoura a este.

The "Santa Bernarda" was built in the year 1968 on the French Atlantic coast, in Bayonne. Until 1992 it served as fishing ground in the North Atlantic and in Biscay under the name "Le Trident".
In 1995, already withdrawn from fishing, it entered the port of Portimão, where the crew abandoned the vessel because of technical problems. That was when "Santa Bernarda Cruzeiros Lda." Acquired the old fishing boat.
The vessel was taken to the shipyard where the plans for the modification were developed. After 14 months of planning and acquisition of licenses, we finally began work on "Santa Bernarda" in October 1996. It was raised aft and renovated all the coves and the boards of the side with cambala wood.
All tanks were made of thin steel and the engine was completely overhauled.
After launching in 1999 the masts were erected and the finishes finished in 2000 and the last surveys were carried out by the experts of the Naval Authority of Lisbon.
Since October 2002 the "Santa Bernarda" has been operating regularly from the port of Portimão. Our area extends from Sagres and Lagos to the west to Albufeira, Quarteira and Vilamoura to the east.
