Description - Happy Days Obidos is a small guest house/hostel situated just outside the historic walled town of Obidos.. The house boasts a beautiful countryside location with spectacular views of the towering 12th Century Obidos Castle. We are a 1 minute walk from Obidos train station, the only house in the stations proximity, and a 15 minute walk to Obidos town itself, so we enjoy the peace of the tranquil Obidos valley whilst being close enough to enjoy the town and its various attractions.

At Happy Days Obidos we aim to help you around the town the best way for you. We have lots of advice to give and some valuable local knowledge on some of the touristic and not so touristic places to visit. Our rooms have high quality beds and bedding to ensure a great night sleep. Our rooms also come with seating areas, wardrobes with hangers and shelving, extra pillows and blankets, a fan, a heater, a mirror, and also with a private external bathroom next door to your room, in the morning we prepare for you a fresh and healthy breakfast consisting of local fruits, breads, cereals, lots of coffee and tea and fresh squeezed orange juice. The coffee and tea are always free and available all day, we have a shared kitchen, a shared living space, a lovely garden with areas to relax and enjoy the views and the sounds of the local nature. We have a great view of the passing train from our sun-terrace where the driver always waves to you.

Obidos is a truly unique location. With a history older than Portugal itself, you really get the feeling that you have just stepped back in time. Obidos town is contained within the castles mighty walls, its full of medieval architecture, quaint small houses, local gastronomy and boutique shops. The traditional small cobbled alleyways are like a maze, one that you will enjoy being lost within. With many annual festivals including a Chocolate Festival and a Piano festival to name but a few and of course the month long Medieval festival, there is reason to keep coming back to this romantic and beautiful little town called Obidos.
