Esta tasca, fundada em 1927, começou como tantas outras, por ser uma Carvoaria. Daqui saía carvão para mais de 50 restaurantes da Capital, incluindo o Galeto, o antigo Parque Mayer entre outros. Com o fim deste negócio, e porque carvoaria que se prezasse tinha sempre uma costela de taberna, virou-se para os comes e bebes.

As many others, this place started off as a charcoal sale, founded in 1927. The charcoal supplied more than 50 os the city's restaurants, includind the prestigious Galeto and old Parque Mayer. The end of the charcoal business dictated the turn to food and drinks which had always been the second activity of these houses.
