YOUNG JOURNALISTS ASSOCIATION OF PAKISTAN (YJAP)
Young Journalists Association of Pakistan (YJAP) is a non-profit organization. It has mission to encourage Young Journalists to enhance their skills through various capacity building opportunities organized internally or in collaboration of various national and international organizations. It has aim to provide a platform to Young and Upcoming Journalists to learn Media Ethics, professional Integrity, Media Education and growing skills and techniques of Journalism. YJAP has main aim to introduce a culture to understand the social, economic, political, technological and educational changes in the practices of journalism and its professional identity for Young Journalists. Young Journalists Association of Pakistan (YJAP) is committed to mobilize the young journalists across the country with representation from all provinces, main cities, and major towns from both electronic and print media of national and international media houses.
Acknowledging the lack of organized professional journalism coaching in Pakistan; (YJAP) provides training to Young journalists in order that they'll skillfully communicate regarding challenges given by chop-chop changing circumstances within the country and round the globe and work for the Promotion of Peace. Workshops, seminars, and special training programmes held on numerous topics in which we have a tendency to share our information and experience with young journalists. A core focus is on making awareness amongst journalists regarding problems like freedom of expression, justice, religious harmony, terrorism, democracy, gender discrimination and promoting Peace. Particularly, (YJAP) is committed to providing training to journalists in remote/rural areas of the country by change their information and skills with reference to regional journalism, regional coverage, features, column writing, and work reportage. (YJAP) helps rural journalists learn about their rights, and strategies about how to protect them if violated. (YJAP) additionally reaches out to the general public, furthermore - a media campaign is designed to worry the worth of journalism in "eradicating the menace of corruption and other evils within the society."
(YJAP) is committed to the welfare, dignity, and independence of all journalists, regardless of caste, creed, colour, gender, faith, region, or faith to that finish, trainings concentrate on enhancing journalists' sense of responsibility to support the development of a democratic society. The organization proposes a stronger and healthier image of Pakistan as a tolerant, peace-loving, and moderate Muslim state conducive toward this vision through analysis, interaction, dialogues, Seminars, workshops and publications that promote harmony between completely different religions and cultures For example, (YJAP) gathers basic information regarding the members of the profession, the impact of technological developments, industrial relations, and connected matters in order to establish an information bank: a compilation of the case laws and handbooks on varied problems having a control on professional work.
(YJAP) is committed to protecting the basic rights of operating journalists, including their job security and safe working environments for freedom of expression. to that end, (YJAP) works to provide justice to journalists whose rights are violated (e.g., who are harried or pressured to stay silent on certain issues) by highlighting the unforgiving behavior of government agencies, the police, newspaper homeowners, etc. This involves providing free legal help and steerage to the journalists, who have been victimized, furthermore as highlighting these problems within the news and contacting the concerned authorities for immediate action against the culprits. (YJAP) raises its voice for the protection of rights of Young journalists on an international level, keeping a regular watch on the right implementation of various laws. To support this aim, (YJAP) maintains a continuous liaison with international journalist organizations and associations on the analysis and development of problems benefiting the rights and welfare of Pakistani journalistsng reading, writing, journalism, and serving the community. Since the association went online, it sought to materialize its mission by helping young writers and journalists get published in the media. The writer submits his or her writing to the facebookpageand upon approval will be added to the
Pakistan. This writing will then be available for newspapers, magazines, publishers and other media to be able to peruse..
The organization was established as the Young Journalists Association Of Pakistanunder Section 402 of the Not-For-Profit Corporation Law as a successor to the Forum of Young Journalists, which was created in 2010.

Young Journalists Association Of Pakistan promotes young journalists' and writers’ rights, helps its members get published without any fees, attract sponsors, who cover the association’s expenses and pay for prizes for best writings, give chances to members to exchange their views and ideas, helps members find jobs in media, etc. Another one of our goals is promoting more minorities to journalism and quality writing and we look forward to our sponsors to establish special scholarships for this purpose.
