Women’s Excellence and Empowerment Initiative (WEEI) is a government registered business initiative working under company’s act 1984. It is a realization of dreamed experiences of an array of development professionals to strive towards promotion of enterprise culture among the youth particularly destitute women folk of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral (GBC).

Several indigenous and exotic forces over the last two-three consecutive decades have forcefully exposed women from Gilgit Baltistan to new perspectives and horizons. Such a transition in role at home and society has brought more opportunities than ever in the history of GBC.Due to lack of required skills and empowerment orientation; women have not been qualified to capitalize her potentials amicably. LMA (Labor Market Assessment) report conform 15.5% women participation in GBC as compared to 22% in rest of Pakistan.

WEEI strives to contribute into bulging unemployment and marginalizing socio-cultural barriers imposed. Limited opportunities in public sector and rapid but unplanned and mismatched qualifications with young women is a serious cause of frustration and depression. WEEI firmly believe that with a small but meaningful and market oriented skill development will enable young women to achieve a respectable status in the society of their residence. WEEI has built on its experience of using self-employment and entrepreneurship as an alternate option to overcome stresses among the women populace and transforming into strengths.

WEEI provides an array of skill development and business incubation services following international standards through well qualified and trained trainers (IFC, CEDR and IIS). Moreover, guidance and practical approach of linking energetic young women with financial institutions for start- up capital has been an advantageous and unique experience of success and pride.
