The University of Management and Technology is a private university located in Johar Town, Lahore, Pakistan. The university is government-chartered and is recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The university is a project of ILM Trust.UMT is a project of Institute of Leadership and Management Trust which was established in 1990 by leading educationists, professionals and industrialists with an aim to enhance the organizational and individual effectiveness. To date, over 16,000 UMT alumni are serving nationally and globally in leading organizations.In 2015, the University of Management and Technology celebrated 25 years of ‘Emergence with Eminence’ in recognition of its contribution to the promotion of higher education in Pakistan. As a premier institution of higher learning in the country, UMT is recognized by the HEC of Pakistan as a ‘W4 Category’ university. For more than two years, UMT was also at the top as per HEC ranking in General Category of private sector institutions in the Punjab. At present, 150+ accredited programs are being offered in the 13 Schools and 4 Institutes operating in the University. UMT is also the first private sector university to establish HEC approved sub-campus in Sialkot.The university is a member of Asia Pacific Quality Network, The Association of Advance Collegiate Institutions of Business, Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia, Association of Management Development Institutions in Pakistan and European Foundation for Management Development .The BS Electrical Engineering degree program offered by the university is accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council. MBA and BBA degree programs offered by the university are accredited by NBEAC. BS programs in computer science and software engineering are accredited by the NCEAC. AMDISA has awarded Full SAQS accreditation for a period of five years to the business school of the university.
