Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. Yet many children in need around the world do not get a quality education where they can learn and develop. At IMK we promote education in remote Nagar districts (Nagar Valley) of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
To advance learning, Save the Children support education programs for children in the classroom and at home.
 We train teachers to engage their students through more effective teaching practices.
 We offer ways for parents and community volunteers to help kids with self-development.  We introduce children to the power of artistic expression — drawing, painting, learning games and more — to help them heal, and to build self-confidence.
 We provide need based and merit based scholarship for the development of young minds. IMK scholarships were founded in 2014. Research showed us a great potential in Nagar district but unfortunately less functional awareness towards education was the most prominent reason for educational crises in this area.
The population of district Nagar is approximately eighty-thousand in such there are eighty-thousand households. There are twenty-three villages in district Nagar. The smallest village have two schools and the largest village have more than eight schools including private and government. The school ratio in Nagar is about 1%. But the misfortune with the children is that after 6th grade 10 % of students do not continue their educational path, which increases after grade 10 (15%); major decline has been observed in grade 12th around 20% of students do not pursue education because of financial inability.
