Social Innovation Pakistan is an online magazine, which essentially covers stories on ‘Social Innovation’ in Pakistan.

Rationale of this magazine is to appreciate the efforts of Social Innovators who are mounding lives of the people. Efforts will be made to acknowledge the contributions of Non-Governmental Organizations of all sectors, working across the country.

Why did we start this? ‘Experience’ and ‘Appreciation’ would satisfy the answer.

After spending few years in social sector and entrepreneurship, it became quite evident that the only motivation that enables someone to progress in these fields is ‘appreciation’. Unfortunately, Pakistani society lacks these qualities but the trend is swiftly moving forward with people becoming more and more co-operative. There was a sheer need of such an organization which connects all these organizations and provides them with a platform to showcase their projects.

There are about 35000 registered Non-Governmental Organizations in Pakistan and the number is increasing every month. From the established NGOs to the new startups, all are aimed at contributing to the society. Be it economic crises, education, child labor, women rights, labor rights, health or provision of basic necessities of life, these organizations are putting up their best show. Economic conditions of Pakistan call for many more such people who are devoting their lives for the cause of humanity.
