Sharaqpur Sharif is a town of Sheikhupura District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is located at and lies on the Jaranwala road, 32km from Lahore and 20km from the first exit of the M2.Sharaqpur Sharif is known as the City of Saints, and is popular due to the presence of the shrine of Hazrat Mian Sher Muhammad Sharaqpuri, who was born in the district in 1282 AH (1865 CE) and was a strict observer and preacher of the Quran and the Sunnah. He died in 1347 AH (1928) and was laid to rest in Sharaqpur.GeographySharaqpur is located south-west of Lahore, across River Ravi.
