People's Development Foundation 3.15

People’s Development Foundation (PDF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization of civil society and registered under the Societies Act 1860. PDF was established in 2010 by a group of senior men and women of human rights activists and humanitarian actors of district Qamber-Shahdadkot, Sindh.
The district of Qamber-Shahdadkot is situated at a remote areas of Northern Sindh, where tribal system, lack of basic facilities, lack of awareness, continuous natural disasters, poor infrastructure and many other problems have put the people of this area in a worse condition and all these factors have caused an increase in the vulnerability of the people. This situation in the district created a dire need to work for with the people to bring decrease in the vulnerability of the people. The founders of the PDF had a vision to work together for the betterment and development of the people from grassroots level. The founders then struggled together for bringing awareness of human rights in youth, farmers were supported and they got a voice, a platform to learn about their rights and struggle together against the violation of their rights. The labor was an other vulnerable group of the district as most of the labor force is uneducated and they do not have awareness of their rights so their rights are easily violated. PDF members strived for their rights from the beginning in 2010. PDF members remained a support for the laborers, farmers and for the youth of the area for more than three years at last their continuous efforts for the rights and development of the people of area resulted as the establishment of an organization devoted to strive for the development of all people regardless of class, color, creed, race, religion based on the relation of humanity.
