Introduction:
Pakistan Education & Health Foundation (PEHF) was established & registered on 2nd September 2013 under society act “XXI” of 1860 (registration No.7010) at Taluka Kotri, District Jamshoro Sindh. With the objective to innovate social solutions against long standing problems through action research & creating impacts on lives & livelihood of the less the privileged section of the society. The organization was established by young & energetic developed professionals who believed in values of transparency, accountability, & equality. The organization started its operations as a volunteer effort in its formative phase but later on since 2013 it started implementing development projects in collaboration with self-help basics.

Mission:
To induce, favorable environment for the protection, wellbeing and prosperity of street children, youth, women, in collaboration with parents & communities and aims to make pollution free environment, to reduce gender discrimination and enhance technical skills of the deprived youth of the area.

MISSION STATEMENT:
To protect & improve qualitative Basic Education & Basic Health status of vulnerable communities, empower the women, sustainable development of Human resources & awareness among community by adopting participatory approach according to the culture, customs & current needs of existing communities.
Objectives:
To create an enabling environment where street children easily get basic primary Education and awareness of their Rights.
To facilitate street children in the formation of “Children Group” to raise awareness regarding child rights for their personal growth and development.
Make efforts to protect rights of Street children in collaboration with Government and non-government agencies.
To, empower the youth for creating such environment where they can utilize their skills with the full confidence to become a good leader for the society.
To, conduct the training programs for women, for earning their livelihood as being a support to their families.
To, arrange different programs on youth, Women, street children, & Social issues through theater.

Background of “Street Children Education”
Although there are so many Government schools for the children but due to the unemployment and poverty the parents force their children to earn something for fulfilling nutrition and other requirements that’s why the ratio of street children increasing day by day.
Having meeting with street children and their parents we know their need of such educational & technical center where their children get basic education & enhance technical skills for their better future.
Pakistan Education & Health Foundation ( P E H F ) wants to launch Temporary Basic Education Center ( T E C ). The main purpose of “T E C” is to provide the basic primary education and for the Poor children.

The Aims & Objectives of “Street Children”

To fulfill children’s need for education.
To, aware and groom the skills of street children
To raise the street children literacy rate
Aware street children to protect their rights.
Organize programs for raising awareness on rights by involvement of street children.

Background of “Capacity Building Programs”
To empower youth by arranging different capacity programs to highligt and solutions of social, political, economical issues. After getting apt skills the youth can negotiate their core issues and able to make solutions of different challenges which are facing them.

“BACKGROUND OF HANDICRAFT WORK”
Although the area of Sasti Basti, Brohi Chok, Hari camp, Sikandeabad & Telegraph of Taluka Kotri and its surrounding is full of Handicraft work but they need some supports in the shape of machinery and tools, trainings for new techniques and approach their product to the market to earn the livelihood and publicize and trade of the products as well as to get earnings and support to enhance the local handicraft work to the national and international markets.

Girls and boys will get “technical and skillful education and learning for their better future.
Technical education will be spread
People will get exposure towards new era of modern techniques
New generation will be able to meet the employment requirements by getting technical education

Need of Handicraft work

Training on different technical work like stitching, wood work, tailoring, knitting chairs, nets, cots, sports tools etc on the basis of modern designs.
Required equipments and tools.
Help and support to highlight the handicraft skills of the area in the shape of exhibition and approach products to the national and international markets
Connect rural areas handicraft work to the urban areas
Make linkages to the stake holders for trading and introducing the handicraft work in different cities.
Financially support in the shape of equipment & finance in loan
Loan should be recovered in the easy installments.

Background of Theater Awareness Program
Theater has been a popular tool to convey any message, highlight and deliver any issue to every community literate and illiterate persons easily. It is a good tool to change the behaviors of people on different issues specially behaviors found in the people for the Disable personalities as well as youth on the behalf of unemployment and poverty. It becomes a very strong tool to understand the different diseases like HIV/Aids, Hepatitis and some Sexual Transmitted diseases.

Impact on community

People will aware about the diseases especially HIV/AIDs, Hepatitis, T.B and other diseases.
Positive behaviors increased and sympathy will be shared to the people having involved in such diseases.
Positive effects on the society will occur
People feel responsibilities in solving issues and sympathetically attitudes would be introduced
Immoral attitudes would be criticized by the community themselves.
Community to know the organizations which help them in curing such treatments.

Needs of Theater Programs
To, train the theater team.
Monthly expenses during rehearsal and performance
Per performance support
Theater Dress and related equipments like drum, flute and piano etc.
Introduce theater team in different organizations of the districts to utilize skills and financial support.

Background of youth participation in developing plans.
Youth of Taluka Kotri and its surrounding have strong spirit but they are unknown of their skills and are waiting to encourage and seeking for the platforms where they utilize their talent and be active part to develop the community problems and play an active role as a good leadership in developing plans of the society. The youth of Johi and surrounding are criticized by their parents and society as they have no talent and they are doing nothing in sharing family needs but the youth are trying to do more but they fail because of ignorance by the government as well as community.

Trend to encourage the youth will be a key of solving social issues.
Trust on Youth will change the whole life of youth
They feel free and have a destiny to work on keen interest
Youth will prove themselves to fit for work in different sector of life.
