The educational goal for the proposed One Nation Public School (ONPS) is to provide students and the community with a high performing school system that prepares students for a 21st Century workforce. The focus is to the students who are “career-ready,” and who are successful and productive citizens.
ONPS education has much to contribute in meeting young children’s needs, be they physical, emotional, social, or intellectual. This phase of education provides for children of under 10 years of age and through the planning and implementation of a suitable curriculum, their needs are met in a setting characterised by trust, support, and sympathy.
Within ONPS and classes, children are encouraged to choose freely from a range of learning activities, to develop appropriate physical and manipulative skills, to co-operate with their peers, to develop early mathematical, scientific and language abilities, to acquire appropriate habits of personal hygiene and to develop positive attitudes to themselves and others.
