Early settlers and Demography: In the beginning a few tribes of Yousafzai,s and Mohmands arrived and started developing this barren land. The most notable early settler was a yousafzai tribesman "Sirbuland Khan" who arrived in this area with Saidu Baba (Saidu Sharif Swat) for the preaching of Islam. Where as Fazl-i-Ahad played a pivotal role in independence movement of 1857, khilafat movement and the Mazdoor kisan movement.
