At the time of autonomy, in 1990, there were Masters classes in only six areas, but now with the University status, LCWU is offering degrees at graduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. There is 4 years B.S. in 31 subjects, 4 years B.S. professional degree in Environmental Science, Home Economics, BFA, Business Administration, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and 5 years Phram-D. Besides this we are offering Ph.D. programmes in Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Botany, Zoology, Environmental Science Electronics, Physics, Political Science, Economics, Islamic Studies, Urdu, Punjabi and Fine Arts.

PROF. DR. SABIHA MANSOOR is presently Vice Chancellor of Lahore College for Women University, Lahore. She has a Ph.D. in Education and a Master’s degree in TEFL from Reading University, UK as well as a Master’s degree in English Literature from Punjab University. Dr. Mansoor has been a Woodrow Wilson Pakistan Scholar as well as a British Council Scholar. She has presented numerous papers at national and international conferences and a guest speaker at international universities. Dr.Mansoor is a reviewer of books and has published various articles in reputed journals. She is the author of several books including Language Planning in Higher Education: A Case Study of Pakistan (OUP: 2005), Language Planning, Policy, and Practice: A South Asian Perspective (OUP: 2004), and Punjabi, Urdu, English in Pakistan (Vanguard: 1993). Dr.Mansoor has wide experience of teaching English and has helped to set up various postgraduate programmes in teacher education in Beaconhouse National University, the Aga Khan University, and Kinnaird College. She is a member of Central Executive Committee of Vice Chancellors and a member of Trustee of Lahore Board.
