Masood Jhandir Research Library is the largest private library of Pakistan. It is a post-graduate residential research library. It contains more than 333,000 titles. It is situated in a small village of District Vehari (Punjab). It is sponsored by three brothers who are land-owners namely Mian Masood Ahmad, Mian Mahmood Ahmad and Mian Ghulam Ahmad Jhandir. The latter has been conferred President’s National Civil Award Tamgh-i-Imtiaz in 2013 for collection and preservation of the national heritage. Mian Haroon Jhandir MBA (USA) is the Secretary of Library Management Committee. The new library complex completed in 2007 built on 21,000 sq.ft covered area is surrounded by a 5-acre charming park.
