The Innovative Teaching Institute is owned and operated by Glocal Eduproject Ltd. This is a joint venture between the Saigol Group of companies and the Swedish School developer and operator, NordicEd.
The Saigols, having inherited the business tradition from their forefathers, an erstwhile family of traders in Calcutta, chose Lyallpur (now Faisalabad) as their base. The Saigols built Pakistan’s first major textile mill trading under the Kohinoor Textile Mill brand in 1948.
The Saigol Family businesses have grown with the country, building up one factory after another, one industry after another, consolidating, and then moving on. From textiles they moved into chemicals, synthetic fiber, vegetable cooking oil, sugar, engineering, construction and banking-all with equal success.
NordicEd AB is a Swedish School developer and operator, focused on International education. Besides Pakistan, NordicEd are active in Sweden and the GCC.
The idea behind Glocal Eduproject is to combine the best of Pakistani education and its traditions with the best of European, Nordic & international education in the development of new schools and for training teachers. The Innovative Teaching Institute is a result of this – an international Institute which aims to provide teachers with deep and valuable experiences for the betterment of the students in Pakistan.
