Govt College Gulberg Lahore 4.72

This College Was Established In 1950 At Walton Lahore As Government College of Physical Education Lahore. Govt College of Physics Education Was Ment Both For Boys And Girls. Later The College Was Bifurcated Into Male And Female Institution.The Existing College Was Shifed To The Present Building Near Gaddafi Stadium Lahore In 1960.

Initially The Courese i.e Senior Diploma And Juniour Diploma In Physical Education Were Offered. Later On In 1980 Equivalence Committee, University of The Punjab Decided That The Senior Diploma Course In Physical Education Be Equaled To 5th Continues To-Date.

It Was Renamed As Goverment College (Boys) Gulberg Lahore By The Goverment Of The Punjab On 4th September , 2007 Under Notification No.So (P-III) 1-33-2005 Date.04-09-2007, For General Education However Physical Education Was Kept As The Main-Stream Discipline of Instrustion.

Construction Of Additional Building Has Also Been Complated. The Academic Activities Both For Professional As Well As General Education Are Being Held In Old Building And New Buliding. Science Laboratories For The Subject Of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, And Computer Science Have Been Established According To State of The Art Standards. A New Five-Story Hostel Building Has Also Been Construced For The Students. The College Has Also Started Evening Classes In Both Physical And General Stream of Education Since 2011.

At Present, All-Out Efforts Are Being Made By The College Administrator To Start Classes of M.A Journalism And M.A Islamic Studies.
