The Imam of this masjid is Hazrat Jee Maulana Shams ur Rahman AlAbbasi Damat Barakaatuhum, a personality that does not require to be identified among the Ulama and the Mashaikh, as his taqwa and "Maqaam" is not hidden from anyone's eyes.

A short introduction is as follows:

Shaykh Maulana Shams-ur-Rehman Al Abbasi (Daamut Barakaatuhu) is counted amongst the luminaries of this time and day. He adopted for himself the spiritual path of the Naqshbandi Chain. His first mentor and guide was Shaykh ul Arab wa Ajam Hazrat Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Al Abbasi Madni, after which he found himself under the tutelage and counsel of Maulana Syed Zawaar Hussein Shah Naqshbandi. He then followed a series of teachers and Shuyukhs; namely Maulana Mustajaab Khan (Rehmatullah Alaihi) and Maulana Abdul Haq Al Abbasi Madni Sahab Naqshbandi Ghafoori (Rehmatullah Alaihi).

On the 29th of Dhill Hajj in 1423 Hijri (2003), he established the Khanqah Ghafooria Haqqania Naqshbandia (a khanqah being a spiritual centre associated with Sufism). He started the Halqa Zikr on the instruction of Sufi Mohammad Iqbal (Rehmatullah Alaihi), who was the Khalifa of Shaykh-ul- Hadith Maulana Zakariya Sahab (Rehmatullah Alaihi). Maulana Shams-ur-Rehman (Daamut Barakaatuhu) devotes his time and energy trying to inculcate in people love for our Almighty creator, Allah(S.W) and trying to infuse in them a desire to hold fast to the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (Peace Be upon Him).

His resolute and unwavering commitment to Shariya and his devotion to it are responsible for attracting to him innumerable disciples from among the students and scholars of noble Islam.
