Gambat is the second largest city of Khairpur District in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It has an area of 582 sq km with estimated population of 90,000 people. It is located at an altitude of 52 metres.Gambat is Taluka headquarters and health care provider city of the District. Gambat Taluka Hospital is famous for having dialysis facility. Along with a lot of private medical centers, the main hospitals are LRBT Eye Hospital and TB Hospital. Gambat Institute of Medical Science is one of the best medical institute in the district. There are two degree colleges for girls and boys with more than 60 schools and private educational centers. Murad High School is one of the famous educational institute which was established in the Talpur/Mirs reign of Sindh and has been named after HH Mir Murad Ali Khan Talpur. Gambat is the center for financial activities in the district. National Bank of Pakistan, United Bank Limited, Sindh Bank, Muslim Commercial Bank and other private banks are part of the city. Gambat Court is located in the centre of the city. Phool Baag is the place to visit in the evening, especially in summer. A canal known as Abul Wah flows throughout the city. Municipality library also serves number of books and daily newspapers. Library is located in the park. Gambat is also known for the famous tomb of Hazrat Pir Syed Muhammad Shah Jillani Baghdadi.
