Knowledge and Skills are the keys to create wealth, irrespective one has natural resources or not. (Ref: Singapore).
There are four modes of gaining knowledge and skills i.e. (i) through experiment (ii) through observation (iii) through study or (iv) through listening.

Unfortunately the large portion of society is largely illiterate as well as uneducated. It takes time for a person to gain formal education, learn from his observations and experiences, to understand the issues in the real perspective and find the rightful solutions.

It is very difficult for a person to gain the relevant knowledge through experiment and observation, as not necessary that every person has a chance to experience or observe various events, situations etc.
Study is an easier way of gaining knowledge however it is not necessary that everyone who can read, also understand.
However listening to the knowledgeable persons explaining things with various experiences, examples etc. is the easiest way of gaining knowledge.

The world has drastically progressed after the invention of printing press, then Industrial Revolution and recently after the Computers. The world and everyday’s life has become very complex, hence in today’s world, every person is required to have some basic level of knowledge and skills to manage his affairs appropriately,
We cannot wait when the whole society is ideally highly literate and educated to be civilized and well-performer, therefore it is a need of the hour that intelligentsia play its pivotal role in spreading Intellectual Capital under the concept of ‘Intellectual Social Responsibility’ (ISR), as economic activities are basically carried out through Intellectual Capital. If there is Intellectual Capital, then Pecuniary Capital can be created.

The other factor is that for an economic activity two types of capitals are required i.e. ‘intellectual capital’ and ‘pecuniary capital’.
Intellectual Capital is more important than Pecuniary Capital, as it is Human Intellect, which creates wealth as Maulan Roomi said that ‘This world is copper and the only formula which can change the copper into gold is knowledge’.

Therefore, it is the responsibility of Intelligentsia to spread the Intellectual Capital, so that more resources are developed, while fewer problems are created.
Chopaal is an informal but the most effective means of creating collective wisdom and spreading knowledge, as in the old days, people used to meet in Choopal, wherein various knowledgeable and experienced persons also present and people discussed and deliberated on various issues, hence knowledge is easily passed on.
In the present era, there is no avenue for illiterate faction of the society to gain knowledge, as they are generally poor, cannot afford to gain formal education as well as cannot attend the training and learning workshops. Even many people, who can read, are also not so knowledgeable, as knowledge is acquired through deliberation and under guidance of some knowledgeable and experienced person.
Therefore, the objective of Choopal is to arrange learning sessions for public and free of charge, so that people are inclined to gain knowledge. Each learning program will be sponsored by people realizing importance of spreading knowledge, for the well being of the society as well as for everyone.

Chopaal is for everyone hence anybody can contribute by taking up all or any one of the following tasks:
1. Offering free lecture as Speaker on a topic
2. Providing space and facilities to hold the event
3. Financially sponsoring the event
4. Sponsoring the whole event i.e. free speech plus financial sponsoring
5. Recommending speakers and/or participants
6. Offering services as volunteer to organize the event(s)
7. Arranging for tools, equipment and other items which may help someone’s business.

Topics may be selected either:
1. By the speaker
2. Or as suggested by the participants during the sessions or at Chopaal’s facebook page.

Chopaal is an informal place, where anyone can attend without any religious, political, ethnic, or linguistic restrictions.
The objective of Chopaal is just to spread good words in the society hence we don’t discuss any political or religious issue, any personality, company, product, etc.
