Coastal Association for Research & Development - CARD is working at two districts of Balochistan Lasbela and Gwadar for Promote sound and healthier communities along the coast of Pakistan by uplifting their socio-economic condition through empowering women, modern technique, and sustainable livelihood options for living a decent and highly regarded life. CARD is a community based non-governmental and non-profit organization. The organization was established in 2002 and is registered under Society act 1860. The registration no 1492.

Since its inception, it is actively involved in the improvement of the livelihood resources and introduce alternate livelihood opportunities , creating awareness among community for Health, Education, Agriculture , Women Empowerment and organization of the community for protection and sustainable management of environment for community’s livelihoods, and sustainable development through improve resources advocacy, participatory research, capacity building, information dissemination and participatory community development processes. It works in close collaboration with local, provincial and federal governments and through generous support by Actionaid, USAID, NRSP, UNDP, SEMEDA, FAO, UNIDO, Save the Children , SEHER, SPO-PK, Red Crescent Society Pakistan, IUCN Pakistan, SAP-P, WWF Pakistan, and TVO
