Vicris School 3.99

Vicris School (formely Vicris Learning Center) is a coeducational school established by Ma. Cristina M. Cruz, the school's Directress/owner. The name Vicris was derived from the name of the owner's parents, the late Engr. Vicente R. Cruz and Cristina Regis Mateo.

The School came into existence in January 13, 1992 and was formally opened in June of the same year with 16 pupils from Nursery with two (2) teachers. The school facilities include a spacious school canteen an audio/visual room where the pupils can watch educational animated film and a library.

The government recognition for Pre-Elementary Course was granted on February 17, 1993. Ms Arceli R. Cruz, a retired public school teacher was the school's first Principal.

As per the demand of parents, one grade level was opened in the next succeeding years, thus, the Directress/owner decided to put up Elementary Department, Grades 1 to 3. This school year the population totalled to 127 pupils. Computer tutorial was also offered to the elementary pupils to strengthen the school's commitment to their pupils in giving the best education not just academically but also in non academic aspect of education. The department was compeleted from grades 1 to 6 in the year 2000. The first batch of graduates graduated in the same year. The school Principal then is Ms. Florita R. Matic and Ms. Arceli Cruz became the school’s Assistant Directress. The government recognition for Elementary Course was granted on June 15, 2000.

The school had been showered with blessings in the forms of awards and trophies from a private school association all affirming the school’s excellence in academic and sports. The success of elementary department gives way to the administrator decision to put up Secondary Courses in the year 2001 with the Principal Mr. Dionisio Esguerra. The Government permit to operate secondary Course was issued on the same year. After two years the school acquired a retired Public High School teacher, Mrs. Marta P. El Shaer as Principal of the High School department and Ms. Aurea B. Mateo as the Elementary T-I-C.

At present the school is working on the application for government recognition for High School course to continue its tradition of providing quality, yet affordable education and to continue towards a positive transformation of the Filipino Society.
