Tongantongan National High School 4.27

Tongantongan National High School formerly VNHS-Tongantongan Annex has been in its operation for eigth years now.

At the start, the school has only four(4) teachers including the school head. The pioneer batch occupied the barangay hall as their classroom and borrowed chairs from the barangay as well. At present, the school is occupying its own school site with an area of more of less 2 hectares. It has eight buildings with sixteen classrooms. There are 18 permanent and 5 LGU- paid teachers.

Tongantongan NHS was legislated April 16, 2013 (RA 10496). The School operates with two curricula this year which are: K-12 Basic Education Curriculum and Basic Education Curriculum.

With this setting, the school has improved a lot considering the enrolment, teachers and physical facilities. If we take into account the academic side of the school, it was more or less good in the National Achievement Test performance, with regards to participation in contest
the school is not lagging behind.
