The Medical City Opens New Hospital in Clark Freeport Zone

Good health knows no boundaries and The Medical City is proud to lead the way.

World-class hospital The Medical City (Clark) formally opened its doors in January 2015 to serve patients in Central Luzon. The 150-bed hospital facility is the first component of a larger health care complex at the Global Gateway Logistics City (GGLC), a 177-hectare master planned logistics and business center inside the Clark aviation complex which will house new infrastructure amounting to over $15 billion. KGL Investment Company is the principal investor and owner of GGLC.

Situated next to an international airport, TMC Clark provides an excellent platform for building international customer base. It has a full complement of top quality diagnostic and treatment services, drawing from the strengths of institutional centers of excellence. It will also be the official medical facility and trauma/burn center of Clark International Airport.

“The hospital is at the forefront of cardiac care and Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) and provides an urgent care center, intensive care unit, medical/surgical care, obstetrics and gynecology unit, pediatrics and pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, ophthalmology and ENT Clinics in addition to comprehensive diagnostic services using some of the latest technology,” says Dr. Cenon R. Alfonso, Chief Executive Officer of TMC Clark.

Blessing and tour of the new hospital was held on December 9, 2014. Present during the highly-successful event were The Medical City senior management, TMC managers, officials from KGL Investment Company, Global Gateway Development Corporation (GGDC), Clark Development Corporation (CDC), Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), local government officials, representatives from the Department of Health, various Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), corporations, and other guests.

"Thank you The Medical City for bringing in your excellence and your brand of healthcare to this part of the country," said CDC President Atty. Arthur P. Tugade in his speech during the event.

To complement TMC Clark’s services, TMC also acquired ARDI Healthcare Center located at

Berthaphil Compound III in Clark Field and has been renamed TMC Ambulatory Center (TMC-AC).

TMC-AC offers a wide range of laboratory, imaging, cardiovascular and other diagnostic services, as well as examinations, consultations and surgical and non-surgical procedures by medical specialists and subspecialists.

With the addition of the Clark site to TMC’s growing network of health facilities, TMC is now the leading healthcare network with 30 clinics and a hospital in Iloilo. TMC recently announced that it was the majority owner of the Southern Luzon Hospital and Medical Center located in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
