Details

This is where the sun rises in El Nido. Experience the Philippine countryside life in a secluded, relaxing, untouristy area. This is a spot unspoiled by modern tourism where man and nature co-exist harmoniously.

Tapik Beach Park is a guest house located in Barangay Sibaltan on the eastern coast of El Nido municipality in the province of Palawan (location map). A secluded area, where anyone can enjoy the privacy of a beach. Initially intended for a family vacation place and private vacation retreat, is now being offered to guests and tourists alike. Structures and accomodations are mostly made of locally sourced tropical materials, such as bamboo and coconut wood, designed to blend with nature. Simplicity incorporated with local artistry.

Currently, we have two cottages with private bathroom of good standards with balcony facing the beach. Tents and dormitory are also available for those adventurous type.

The place can be reached within an hour. The road is unpaved - but it's worth the adventure. We have our own transport should you need one.

The Sceneries

The word 'Tapik' means hard rock in local dialect. An Eco-Cultural place where anyone seeking retreat, peace, relaxation and new kind of experience may go. A place far away from the hustle and bustle of a city life.

Tapik is small fishing community where all of the folks know each other. Where the simplicity of living is still practiced and authentic Filipino hospitality exists. Neighbors are few and far apart that you can really the feel the privacy and serenity of a Philippine countryside life . The resort is small and secluded that you will practically have a time for yourself to lounge or just relax on the beach. On the horizon, a number small but amazing islands sorrounds the vicinity. Good snorkling and diving sites can be found nearby. In fact, Sibaltan has been proclaimed as marine sanctuary because of rich marine life in the area.

Culutural and traditional experiences are also waiting to be discovered. The first ever Cuyunon (the most dominant and dynamic ethnic group of Palawan) museum is found in the area. Traditional means of livelihood are still embraced here in spite of modern technologies. It's like travelling back in time. Tours can be arranged if needed.

This place is also recommeded for friends and families planning to have their own getaway or just a simple holiday.

Get Closer to Mother Nature

Luxury need not be expensive. Nature has supplied us all the basics that we need, we just have to harness them. As much as possible we try our best to enhance the flora and fauna and its natural landscape, and maintain the relaxing ambiance. Tapik is one of the ways you can partially disconnect with the world and connect with nature.

Our Purpose

It is our purpose to encourage people to value and appreciate what nature has given us, even at its simplest form. Tapik supports the advocacies and initiatives of the El Nido Tourism Office and the community of Baranggay Sibaltan in promoting the Cuyunon culture, the innate beauty of Sibaltan and its surroundings. We aim to help foster the place to become one of the primary eco-cultural destinations in El Nido and Palawan in general and help the locals get descent livelihood while helping in preservation its culture and nature at the same time.
