San Pedro Calungsod Parish - Tacurong City 3.17

Pedro Calungsod Parish located at Purok Daisy, New Isabela, Tacurong City was declared as parish on August 25, 2014 by Cardinal Orlando B. Quevedo. It was named San Pedro Calungsod on March, 2015 after Saint Pedro Calungsod, also known as Peter Calungsod and Pedro Calonsor who was a Roman Catholic Filipino migrant.

With the active involvement of the community, sponsors and parishioners, its construction began last May 3, 2015 with a budget of only more or less PhP 200,000.00. On August 23, 2015, Rev. Fr. Diosdado A. Esguerra, DCC, was installed as the parish priest along with the celebration of the first foundation anniversary of the parish. Cardinal Quevedo was the presider of the Holy Eucharist and the installing prelate at the same time. Its first mass was held on December 15, 2015 which also happened to be the first Misa de Aguinaldo and Rev. Fr. Esguerra officiated the mass.

The parish is composed of eleven (11) clusters and started with thirty five (35) chapels from nine (9) barangays namely Kapingkong, New Lagao, EJC Montilla, Upper Katungal, Calean, Baras, Lancheta, New Passi and Rajah Muda and two (2) puroks of New Isabela.
