History

The Reverent Mother General Sister Concetta Aranzulla, Superior General of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Ragusa, who resided at the Generalate House in Rome, Italy, sent a sister to the Philippines in 1998 for the possible opening of a school. This was the result of the prayerful decision made by Mother General and her Council for the realization and actualization of the charism and spirituality of the Congregation. As a result, a sister arrived in Merville, Paranaque in 1998 to prepare everything for the school. During the time, the construction of the sister’s Convent was going in Silang. The sisters started soliciting from their benefactors all the necessary materials needed. In fact, the Magallanes Family of Merville donated the facilities for the Pre-School; this is in memory of the late Magallanes Sisters. The Ateneo de Manila elementary department donated books and other materials for the library. The necessary documents were accomplished and completed within a year.

In the year 1999, Sisters who were based in Italy were recalled back to Philippines by the Reverend Mother to teach and handle classes of the new school. Thus, the school year 1999-2000, was the formal beginning of the school. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports granted a yearly renewable permit for the pre-school and elementary. This means that the permit will be renewed yearly, until further definite approval by the DECS be given.
