Rosewood Children’s Formative Learning School, Inc. is a private, non-sectarian learning institution offering high-quality preschool education for children ages 3 to 6 years old.
The school, which will be a precursor to elementary education, will work with a curriculum that allows for teaching to take place but within the context of “structured play” or that which allows exploration, experimentation, imitation and adaptation as the child interacts with other children of his/her age group.
This approach, known as developmentally appropriate practice (DAP), takes into account the developmental stage and status of every child, which the teacher then uses to create and tailor a curriculum that is not only responsive to the child's interests and strengths but is most relevant and meaningful to him/her.
Rosewood Children's Formative Learning School espouses DAP and is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
