Punta Bilar Dive Center 4.08

We opened our dive center in August 31, 2009. It coincided with the start of the Punta Bilar marine sanctuary, a three kilometer reef system at the northernmost tip of mainland of Surigao City, on the island of Mindanao, Philippines. Both the dive center and the reef have grown together-the dive center's income helps guard the reef, and the reef attracts divers from all over the world. We hope you continue supporting us!

PUNTA BILAR DIVE CENTER is a Surigao-based dive center which caters to both diving tourists and professional/commercial diving work.

PUNTA BILAR DIVE CENTER exists to develop Scuba Diving industry in Surigao and other parts of Caraga region, protect the Punta Bilar Reef and other critical marine areas in Surigao and Caraga, and educate the local community to practice sustainable fishing methods. It partners with the Siargao divers, Butuan Bay Divers, Cagayan de Oro and Davao diving network.

VISION
Scuba Diving will be a primary tourist activity in Caraga

MISSION
To promote Scuba Diving as a prime tourism activity here in Surigao and Caraga
To teach Scuba Diving to Surigaonons, Butuanons and their guests, and to tourists
To provide scuba gears and equipment for sale and rent to various sectors
To provide technical services as may be needed by other companies or clients
To protect certain areas in Surigao and Caraga from destructive fishing methods
To educate communities and encourage sustainable fishing methods in Surigao and Caraga
To work with the local tourism councils and government agencies in furtherance of the above goals
