Overall Description/Profile of the President Diosdado Macapagal High School and Its Community

Introduction
President Diosdado Macapagal High School is a public general high school located at 8th Street, Barangay Katuparan, GHQ Village, Taguig City. It is one of the public high schools under the Division of Taguig City and Pateros of the Department of Education Philippines.
Student Development
As of July 5, 2011, PDMHS has 2,386 students. Among them, there are 741 first year students, 639 second year students, 541 third year students and 465 fourth year students. Among them, there are 1187 male students and 1199 female students.
Teacher and Administrator Development
PDMHS has 17 regular teachers and 40 contractual teachers (LSB). Among them, there are 15 male teachers and 42 female teachers. There is one school head, 3 LSB utility personnel and 7 security guards (3 LSB guards and 4 POSO guards).
Physical Plant Development and Maintenance
PDMHS is composed of two buildings- the Tinga building and the Cayetano building.
In Tinga buildings, there are 2 faculty rooms, 1 principal office and guidance office and 9 academic rooms- a total of 12 rooms.
In Cayetano building, there are 1 stock room/SSG office, 1 practice house, 1 science room, 2 canteens, 13 academic rooms and 2 faculty rooms- a total of 20 rooms.
There are also 9 comfort rooms- only 3 are functional. The other 6 are non-functional due to lack of water. There is also 1 newly built gymnasium.
To maintain cleanliness of the two buildings, the school has three full-time LSB utility personnel.
School Community Partnership
PDMHS has active PTCA organizations- in classroom called Home room PTCA, in year level, called Year Level PTCA and as a whole, called GPTCA. The school has also close coordination with the local government officials and barangay officials.
Resource Generation and Fund Management
PDMHS is dependent on one source of funding- from the income of the canteen. It is also dependent on the help of the SVNHS- main and the kindness of the City Government of Taguig City, individual patrons and non-government organizations.
