The Olango Fire Station (Fire Station 6) was established last September 2006 and is one of 6 fire stations under the jurisdiction of Lapu-Lapu City Fire District. Its building was constructed in the year 2001 during the term of then City Mayor, Hon. Arturo O. Radaza.

Administratively, Olango Fire Station is manned by two BFP personnel and seven LGU employees. It is headed by SFO1 Paul R Amores, BFP, designated as Station Fire Marshal. Directly under his command is FO1 Randy P Camilotes, BFP, the Admin and Operations NCOIC and at the same time Fire Truck Operator and Fire Safety Inspector.

Operationally, it has two serviceable fire engines and one ambulance. Seven LGU employees render 24-hour shifts with Shift A having 3 personnel (F/As Rimando Salgados, Reynaldo Arong, and Norberto Llido) while Shift B having 4 personnel (F/As Randillo Taneo, Caesar Genon, Christopher Canete, and Renato Aparri).

Olango Fire Station utilizes a PLDT Landline SIM and a UHF Base Radio with aerial antenna as its means of communication. It has rooms utilized as firemen's quarters, office, stock area, kitchen and dining area, bath/toilet, and apparatus floor area.
