The Notre Dame of Dukay,Inc. was founded in 1967 by Rev. Fr. Ralph Dekocker, OMI … a missionary priest from Belgium and became the first director of the school. The school site was donated by the late Mr. & Mrs. Serafin Dabi, Sr. and late former Mayor & First Lady Romulo Latog, Sr. It started with five teachers and 173 students. In 1968, Ms. Monina Arca became the first principal until 1974. In 1975, Rev. Fr. Marlou Horlador, DCC, replaced Rev. Fr. Dekocker and Mr. Alfredo S. Suberon succeeded as the principal. At that time, there were already twelve teachers with 417 students. In 1976, a big stage was constructed. There was also constructions of a four-classroom building. Fr. Marlou Horlador served until 1980. He was replaced by Rev. Fr. German Tiaga, DCC, who served for only one year. It was in his time that the school ranked first in the percentage of passing in the NCEE now NSAT (National Secondary Achievement Test). He was replaced by Rev. Fr. Charlie Banlawi, DCC., who also served for one year. In 1983, Rev. Fr. Jose Colin Bagaforo, DCC, became the fifth director at the same time the superintendent. This time, there were 14 teachers with 455 students. It was in his time that the following were constructed: a new building, a forty-meter covered walk, a new comfort room (Bishop’s Donation), a grotto, a partial concrete fence around the school. In the school year 1989 – 1990, the school got a 100% passing in the NCEE (now NSAT). Fr. Colin served until 1990 and he was replaced by Rev. Fr. Francis Dela Cruz, DCC. Under his supervision, the following were constructed: a two-classroom building, a new faculty building, water system, a new and big administration building, completion of the concrete fence around the school and the new comfort room. There were 18 teachers with 785 students. After staying as director/superintendent for seven years, Fr. Francis Dela Cruz was replaced by Rev. Fr. Jessie P. Pasquin, DCC, last June 1, 1997. During that year, there were 16 teachers with 536 students. In summer ’99, a major construction started to pave way for the renovation of a ten classroom building and a Science Laboratory. In the school year 1999 – 2000, the Notre Dame of the Dukay, Inc., PMT –I Unit got a 91.63 % average score in the Annual Tactical Inspection, which ranked Second Placer in the overall result out of 25 schools who joined the competition in the Annual Tactical Inspection. During that school year also, the putting of BALUSTERS in front of the school buildings was completed. In the school year 2000 – 2001, there were 19 teachers with 520 students. Landscaping in front of the Administration building sponsored by the Alumni BATCH ’80 was realized and construction of NDD Gymnasium started summer ‘2003. In the school year 2003 – 2004, there were 19 teachers with 503 students. During this school year, sometime in August 2004, three spans of NDD Gymnasium’s roofing was completed. In the school year 2004 – 2005, there were 17 teachers with 508 students under the new administration of our new appointed Director/Superintendent, Rev. Fr. Clifford L. Baira, DCC who replaced Rev. Fr. Jessie P. Pasquin, DCC after seven years of service in the system. During this school year, sometime in February 2005 three spans of NDD Gymnasium’s flooring were completed through the joint efforts of the PTA and administration. Later this March of 2006, a new stage was also completed through joint efforts of Alumni and the administration plus the completion of a MULTI-PURPOSE building which is donated to the school through the generosity of BATCH ‘81 headed by Dra. Elma Lapidez Tabat as president of the said batch. In the school year 2007 – 2008, Miss Loida L. Sorongon, MAEd succeeded Mr. Alfredo S. Suberon as principal. She is the first alumna to become the principal of the school. In the school year 2008 – 2009, Auxiliary Bishop Jose Collin Bagaforo, DD became the Director/Superintendent of the school for the second time. He is the first Bishop to become the Director/Superintendent of the school with Rev. Fr. Rex C. Bacero, DCC as Assistant Director/Superintendent. Same school year repainting of the classrooms was completed. Renovation of new Comfort Room was realized through the generosity of PTA headed by Dr. Juliet Sison as PTA Federation President and a partial participation of SAC 2008 – 2009. Also during that school year Notre Dame of Dukay, Inc. become world widely connected (in other words we have INTERNET) sponsored by USAID. In the school 2009-2010, Rev. Fr. Rex C. Bacero succeeded Bishop Bagaforo as Director/Superintendent of the Archdiocesan Notre Dame Schools. It was in this school year, where computerization in the collection system of the school started. During in this school year where the school got the first time Champion in one of the Science Quest & Fair Contest particularly Sci-Dama (First, Second and Third Year Category)-Division Level, (Second Year Category)-Regional Level and even come up to National Level which was held at Tabaco National High School, Tabaco, Albay where our contestant has taken the Fifth Place and the Coach who was playing for parent category got the 4th Place out of15 Regions who participated in the said Quest and Fair. In the same school where the school also got its First time as Champion in MTAP (Math Teacher Association of the Philippines)Quiz second year team category sponsored by Metro Bank-DepEd-MTAP. MTAP is considered one of the most prestigious academic quiz conducted every year in the whole Philippines. In the school year 2010-2011, the school continues winning as Champion in the MTAP Third Year team category, Math Olympics individual & team Third Year category. In the SY 2011-2012, again the school got up to National Level in Science Quest & Fair Electro Sci-Dama First Year category which was held at Teacher’s Camp, Baguio City. The same school year where the school also got its first time to Regional Level in MTAP Math Challenge both individual and team category which was held at Gland School of Technology, Sarangani Province. It was also in this school year where the school got its first time as Champion in STAT QUIZ Municipal Level and Radical Damath Third Year category Division Level. In the SY 2012 – 2013, the school continues winning in Math Olympics (4th Year Team, 3rd Yeard both individual & team) category and in Science Quest & Fair Electro Sci-Dama Grade VII category. In the SY 2013-14, the school got up to Regional Level in Science Quest & Fair Sci-Dama Grade VII, VII and 4th Year category. The school again got Champion in MTAP Math Challenge Grade VII category. The most prestigious winning in this school year is that the school got its first time as National Level Champion in Science Quest & Fair Investigatory Project category held at Teacher’s Camp, Baguio City and became qualified in the Inter-National Science Fair Contest. Last school year, SY 2014-2015, again the school is very proud to announce of its most unexpected performance being declared as Over-all Champion in the 4th Palarong Diocesan, which was held at Notre Dame of Salaman College, Lebak Sultan Kudarat. In the school year 2015-2016, Senior High School Building was started. The same school year where the school hold its First Junior High School Completion Ceremony.
