Muntinlupa School for Child Development 3.74

The MSCD Story: In 1994, a preschool was conceived to offer quality Christian education and to introduce the developmental approach to child learning in the city of Muntinlupa. Six children met five days each week for a 3-hour Vertical Class session in a house located at #6 Hyatt Street, Pleasant Village. The parents of these children were convinced that the approach was holistically beneficial to their kids. This was enough motivation to formally register Muntinlupa School for Child Development (MSCD) with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and with the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) which is now called the Department of Education. One year later, additional facilities along Intercon Street were provided to house the increasing number of 3-5 year old children. Meantime, the old house was redesigned and expanded into a four-storey building to accommodate the elementary pupils, in a campus of over 3,000 square meters. In the year 2004, the school opened its doors to high school students. MSCD has experienced a constant growth in enrolment and in curriculum development. MSCD is recognized by the Department of Education. It is the only school in the city that offers a developmental pre-elementary curriculum.
