MMLMDC despite being a profiting organization aims to enlighten Butuanon's from the common fear of environmental damage thru responsible mining practice. A plus factor of its operations is to avert massive flooding, improve river navigability, removal of pollutants and toxic chemicals, thru its dredging and river widening project operations. MMLMDC also aims to enhance aqua-culture & agriculture, increase tax revenue, generate jobs/employment at the same time fulfill its corporate social and environmental responsibilities with no costs to the government. As part of its environmental responsibilities MMLMDC is committed to implement the best practices in managing the environmental impact of its operations. It will implement progressive rehabilitation of mined-out areas in order to restore, if not improve, the environment to its pre-mining condition. In terms of social responsibility MMLMDC aims to protect and improve the welfare and quality of life of the residents in the communities in which it operates. It intends to contribute to the economic development of these communities and, more broadly, the nation.
