Lucky Chinatown is a shopping mall in Binondo, the Chinatown of Manila, Philippines. The 108,000m2 shopping mall is located on Reina Regente Street and De La Reina Street just south of Recto Avenue and Divisoria. It is owned and managed by Megaworld Corporation.DescriptionLucky Chinatown mall occupies in the historic and cultural district of Binondo. It was built in 2012 on the former site of two Manila public high schools, the Rajah Soliman High School and José Abad Santos High School.The mall was officially opened on 15 August 2012 as part of the Chinatown Heritage Project. President Benigno Aquino III attended the opening ceremony.The five-storey lifestyle mall designed by RVP Architects is anchored by Metro Supermarket, the four-screen Lucky Chinatown Cinemas, SM Appliance Center, and Toy Kingdom. It also hosts several dining and entertainment choices, including fine dining and specialty Chinese restaurants. A promenade known as Chinatown Walk houses Chinese cuisine outlets. It is connected by walkway bridges to the twin-tower CityPlace condominiums, the annex of the mall and CityPlace Square, also developed by Megaworld Corp.
