What is a gastro bar/pub?

It is a bar/pub with good food.

Bars are focused on the alcohol, and the food is just there to keep you from starving to death. It's not supposed to be particularly good.

A "gastro bar" is one that figures that if you're going to eat, you might as well eat well. Instead of just hiring a cook to throw the chips into the fryer, they'll hire a chef to design and implement an interesting menu.

Our bar was named East 53 before. Under new management, it was renamed as Latitude Gastro Bar. We serve iced cold drinks and great delicious food. We believe that having drinks while having great food is the way to go. We are the first gastro bar located in Marikina City. Our food is prepared and created by Chef Edward Taponan - ex chef of Sofitel, Eivissa Super Club and Vask. We play different music per day and/or as requested by our valued customers.

We accept reservations for meetings or for any other type of occasions.
