Founded in 1977 by Lally Borbon-Alcaraz, Cristina Uy-Doroteo, and Maria Antonia Uy-Suayan, Kay's Nook was named Kristian(Cristina's son), Abigail, (Lally's daughter ) and Ysabelle(Tonette's youngest sibling as she was stingle at that time). It was famous for its light meals and merienda especially for bringing the 3M Pizza Pie in Batangas City back then. Supported by restaurateur mom Marilou Borbon-Uy (A&M Village Rest), Tonette ran the business until Luis Chito Uy, son of Marilou and wife Shirley Pagsuyoin took over the biz in 1981 with 3 members of staff. Now Kay's Nook has a bigger team lead by Shirley, serving great dishes everyday and caters to special occasions. Chito and Shirley, along with their children Kristine, Karlo and Kenneth, continue to improve Kay's Nook as it has always been a part of their family.
