Kalantiaw Shrine 3.65

The Kalantiaw Shrine is located at Batan, it was once the seat of of Rajah Bendahara Kalantiaw promulgator of the famous Code of Kalantiaw. The Philippine Historical and Cultural Society built the Kalantiaw Shrine in 1957 on a location where a school building once stood.
It exhibits a pictorial history from the pre-Hispanic period to the contemporary era. It is also built in honor of Rajah Bendahara Kalantiaw, the first known Filipino lawgiver and the promulgator of the famous Code of Kalantiaw. A display of the original manuscript of the Code can be found in the museum.
