In the year 1956, Josefina So married Ricardo Tan Sr., and they took over the management.

In 1972, an unfortunate accident happened where the store was razed by fire. Despite the major setback the family was forced to relocate and continued to do business.

After more than a year of waiting for the construction to finish, the store formally reintroduced itself with the name JENRA Superette.

The name JENRA was patterned after the initials of their children.

As the company sold more products and expanded in scope, it was named JENRA Supermarket in the year 1976, opening as the biggest supermarket in Central Luzon.

Finally, after a major renovation to cope up with the demand to serve more customers in 2006, Jumbo JENRA Angeles was rebuilt, and encompasses both supermarket and department store.
