To provide basic quality education that equips every learner with knowledge, skills, attitudes and values through competent and dedicated teachers, wholesome learning environment, and supportive stakeholders, thereby preparing them to excel in all their plans, endeavors and aspirations in life.

History of Jaro I Elementary School

Jaro Central School has its beginning in1901 thru the enthusiasm of an American benefactor who considered public education as mean of attaining progressive living in the Philippines. There was no school building then but well to do Jaroleños and civic spirited citizens offered their houses for education, like Doña Escarilla, Don Claudio Lopez and Teodoro Benedicto, whom they call Capitan Urong.

In 1918 a Gabaldon type of school building was constructed on the acquired lot from Don Alfonso Doronila. In 1919 classes held in residential houses were transferred to the constructed Gabaldon building. The school gradually expanded and developed with the help of Jaro philanthropist like Don Ramon Lopez and Don Ruperto Montinola. An American businessman Charles Hughes also donated a piece of land in addition to the site acquired. The area of the school site is 12, 830 sq. meters.

In 1941 the war broke out. The war went o0n for four years and the school was totally destroyed. In 1945, the school building reconstructed. Education went on. In 1982, Jaro Central Elementary School was divided. And Jaro II Elementary was born.

Gradually, Jaro I Elementary School has grown with competent, dedicated and committed teachers and naming some of them: Mrs. Lourdes Alelis, Mrs. Paula Villarete, Mr. Emilio Borres, Mr. Benigno Hinolan, Mrs. Pacencia Celiz, Mr. Cornelio Quidato, Mrs. Gorrecita, Mr. Jose Siva, Mr. Restuto Rivas, Mr. Sinfroso Bion and Mrs. Eugenia Montago former school principals were: Mr. Federico Hervias who was the first Filipimno principal, Mr. Santiago de la Rosa and Mr. Francisco Hubelag. The three of them were recipients of the Philippine Educational Gold Medal. They were followed by energetic and dynamic school principal s like Federico Sevilla, Mrs. Julieta Granpeñas, Mr. Daniel Porras, Dr. Jose L. Bedaño, Mrs. Editha Segubre, Mrs. Bebianita A. Masna, Mr. Gabriel Pintor and Mrs. Elenita G. Java.

School development and beautification continued. Additional school buildings were constructed. Likewise, the school excels in academic, sports and literary musical contest.

In 1998, a satellite school Tabuc Suba Primary School was established, now known as Judith Lazaraga Tiongco Elementary School.

Today Shool Year 2009, Jaro I Elementary School have, many concrete buildings with 50 strong teachers, 8 are master teachers and the rest are teachers 3, 2 and 1. It has four pre- school teachers, one security guard and one administrative aid. The School is by Mrs. Elaenita Java Principal IV, A graduate of Master of Arts in Values Education, together with the Asst. to the Principal, Mr. Joven Madera, Master Teacher I and Principals Test Passer.

The general federated RTA officers are cooperative and collaboration to the mission, vision, aims and objective of the school.

Countless successful professionals, politicians and civic spirited citizens have graduated from this school. Graduates fro this school believed that, what they are now is the product of proper mentoring and nurturing of their elementary grades teacher.
