ICAN School 3.12

iCAN stands for Integrated Center for the Advancement of Neuroeducation. It is a school with a culturally-sensitive holistic approach to teaching and learning guided by the latest research in neuroscience, education, and child psychology. iCAN specializes in developmentally appropriate brain-based curriculum developed in collaboration with the Neuroscience and Education Program at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City catering to preschool, early grades, and children with special needs. iCAN is the pilot lab school of a New York non-profit, It Takes A Planet, and would be the model for future lab schools in the Philippines and other countries that wish to integrate research and evidence-based practices in schools.
