Lubi Festival is celebrated during theFoundation Day of town every March 3 of the year.

Our Municipality entry for one-town-one-product and one-town-one-festival . Due to its high value and importance for the daily life, aside from our small town Fiesta every 14th and 15th of September, March 3 is marked by the Gamaynons as a celebration of Lubi or Coconut Festival every Foundation Day Celebration. Coconut tree is tagged as “tree of life” that is why we consider Lubi Festival as celebrating life, hence this symbolizes the agricultural source of income for our locals in terms of copra production. Coconut wine or “Tuba” in waray is just one of the endless products from the tree that Gamay has to offer. Abundance of the tree within the town is undeniable. Exhibitions from different participating secondary schools is just one of the event highlights. Come! Celebrate life with us!
