According to the German Mythology called "Nibelungelied", SIGFRED (originally spelled as SIEGFRIED), son of Siegmund and Sieglinde, was a brave Dragon Slayer who bathed in dragon blood on his very first dragon kill that made him invincible. He was fearless, he was valorous, he was heroic. He gained the respect and love from the people of Nibelungland for his countless heroic deeds of saving them from the disastrous dragons, but legend has it that while he was bathing in dragon blood, a leaf fell on his back, right at the center of his shoulder blades, that was his only vulnerable part. His treacherous brother-in-law unerringly shot a spear on his very weak spot that reached his heart. Soon, Siegfried collapsed from blood loss, apparently dying from his wound. Some of those people, who were loyal to the hero, mourned for him.
