Company Background

DJ Catering Services was formerly known as “Handaan Magic Plates Catering Services” in Malvar Batangas. Handaan Magic Plates Catering Services formally known as Handaan Catering was built in Luta Sur, Malvar, Batangas. It started in February 20, 2000 with only four (4) staffs. The first event hosted is a wedding.

Handaan Catering has been engage with contracts as canteen concessionaire with the following companies:

• KOMYO – 2000-2002
• JIMC – 2003-2005
• FPIP, Sto. Tomas, Batanags – 2006-2008
• COSMO MEDICAL, San Fernando, Malvar, Batangas – 2009-2011

During the said contracts, Handaan Catering provided not just delicious and affordable meals but also nutritious ones. Sanitation has been observed and practice to ensure the safety and the quality of foods and never made the contracting parties at stake. Teamwork and cooperation has been observed in each employees.

The company had shown progress for the past years right until one of its shareholder pulled out all stocks and establishing a new catering business by his own name. Nothing might be left but the spirit of a true caterer shall always exist.

Using his own talents in cooking and designing, Danilo Atienza, co-founder, co-owner and manager of Handaan Magic Plates Catering Services together with his new business partner, John Bryan Hernandez decided to rebuild the company making a different name as “DJ Catering Services” in 2015.

Danilo and John Bryan are both visionaries. They both have experiences in canteen and food services. Danilo has been in service for about fifteen (15) years as a catering supervisor, chef and waiter. He has passion in designing and food services. In 2010, he won “Brgy. Lutong Makro 2010” at Makro Batangas where SM Hypermart Batangas City is now located.

John Bryan studies basics of law, business and, food and beverage artistry via internet while taking up a different course, BSCS in particular. His family owns a canteen at Aguila, San Jose, Batangas.


DJ Catering Services aims to provide service at its best with the right staffs. As our tagline says “Because you are special, we serve our best!”

We may be with a new name but we ensure that our service is always at our best. New things are added and we kept the old ones and improve what has to be improved.
