ESTABLISHED IN 2010, the center was conceptualized in a meeting held in September 2009 when a group of serious and dedicated maritime practitioners agreed to team up and work seriously together towards a common goal of contributing to the safety of life and property at sea through quality training. The name of the center is simple and indicative of the future. It shall continuously innovate to be updated with the latest technology available for the seafarers. The CEBU GEMS Innovation And Career Development Center, Inc is a 100% Filipino owned corporation whose goal is to provide facilities for advanced maritime upgrading of skills and assessment of competencies of seafarers. All these as we try to meet the needs and the demands of our dynamic society. The center was formally launched on April 28, 2010.
