Calinaoan Centro 1.84

Calinaoan Centro is one of the 27 barangays of the Municipality of Santo Tomas, province of Isabela in the Philippines. It is located in the opening part of Santo Tomas, after the town of Delfin Albano. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 831 people.EducationCalinaoan Centro has one public school, the Calinaoan Elementary School, and one private secondary school, which is Northern Isabela Academy, the only private school in the town of Santo Tomas.Almost all the young population of the barangay goes to either elementary or high school except for the 1% that cannot afford to go to high school.This coming school year 2016-2017, the high school Northern Isabela Academy in the said barangay would be implementing Grade 11 to outcoming Grade 10 students.LivelihoodThe primary source of income of the barangay is farming. Most of its lands is used for rice and corn plantations. The locals also raise livestock to produce commodities such as food and money.
