Who is Alezon? Why Alezon? For cafe guests who do not know the Alegre family, these are the most common questions. They LOVE the interior, and the fact that almost every piece of furniture or fixture or artwork has a story, and of course, how affordable the good food and coffee are.; but the questions remain: Who is Alezon?

Venjoy Alegre is the owner, creator, and operator of Café Alezon. He is the younger brother of Alezon Alegre, the inspiration for the quaint cafe that so many people now call their “sanctuary”, hangout, or simply, their go-to-place in BF Homes Las Piñas City.

Alezon Alegre joined his creator in April 2012 after a brave battle against cancer. He LOVED people, and went the extra–extra mile to make sure that he made his family and friends and happy.

He was always ready to lend a helping hand; it didn’t matter if you were a servant or a senator, a pauper or a prosperous man; he knew how to be a true friend… and every one whom he called friend KNEW, that once he called you friend, he was willing to take a bullet for you. He loved his family and friends ’til the end, and they loved him very dearly.

He was not perfect; he lived most of his days battling many demons. His greatest legacy was the way he lived his last days when cancer compelled him to come face to face with his mortality, eternity, and God. Amos 4:12 says, “Therefore thus will I do unto thee… and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God…” He did.

He was a very a happy, carefree soul, but in his last days, he was a JOYFUL and peaceful one whose life proclaimed, “Cancer may have devastated my body, but it saved my soul.” Today, Alezon’s brother and children honor his LOVE for people through Café Alezon’s “good food mood” ambience. A place where his love for people lives.
