Brgy. Poblacion North - Solano,N.Vizcaya 4.01

Barangay Poblacion North is located at the heart of the municipality of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya; it is a community of about 1,542 residents, more or less, from an estimated 368 households. In terms of area, it is the smallest among the six center barangays of Solano, with an area about 14.5 hectares consisting of 6 puroks.

Traditionally, Barangay officials are tasked to oversee the barangay population's oftentimes. The role of officials are too complex as mandated by Local Government Code (LGC) of 1991, settling and managing disputes and challenges within its constituents and the occasional program and activities of the barangay especially during fiestas and special occasions. In 1994, a newly installed set of barangay Officials, headed by Kap. Eddy Tiongson, began drafting plans for the barangay, guided by the vision for its people to be God fearing, to be empowered, and to live in a prosperous community where everyone would meet a decent minimum of food, clothing, shelter and dignity. They also worked on expanding the traditionally limited roles of Barangay Officials into a more guided, participatory and dynamic governance, even on a barangay level.

Back on 2001, our Barangay has been called as “A Little Piece of Heaven”. It was started when we won the “Gawad Magat” award, the said award was launched for the first time by the provincial government, it was patterned form “Galing Pook Award” and also the first local Governance Awards in Region 02. It primarily aims to recognize and reward exemplary and innovative partnership programs and to promote participatory governance in Nueva Vizcaya. This is the latest award that the barangay received in December 14, 2001.

This is a place that is open for everyone, this is a place where people live with pride and self-reliant. We practice BAYANIHAN SPIRIT exemplified during the lauching of MAKIALAM, MAKILAHOK, MAKIBAHAGI dubbed as BARANGAYANIHAN with the presence of unity making every constituent productive through Excellent Transparent Governance.
