HISTORY...
On March 10, 2006, Bohol College of Science and Technology, Inc. was founded by Dr. Victor C. Lauron a former (DOI) Director of Instruction and Dean of Teacher Education Department of BISU Calape (former CVSCAFT Calape, Campus). Dr. Lauron believed that he could help the poor and deserving students and unemployed adults through building a college with affordable tuition fees and competitive training for the improvement of Municipality of Sagbayan, Province of Bohol and to cater domestic and global demands for competent manpower. Even with his immeasurable expertise, he cannot pursue his dreams with him alone. In this reason, he asked for help from his brothers, sisters and relatives to donate monetary or materials for building the college. He constructed the college with a big hope and inspiration coming from his family and his late father Baltazar Cabungcal Lauron.
The college was registered at Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) on June 1, 2006 with a Registration Number CN200627618, with a description of incorporation of Higher Education Learning Institution and a Non-Stock/Non Profit type of association wherein the incorporators/stock holders are his family, friends and relative which mostly are farmers. The college was accredited by LGU Sagbayan on August 6, 2006 and registered by BIR on May 23, 2007. The college started its first operation on June 18, 2007 (SY 2007-2008).
After its 3 years of operation, the College President decided to build its sister campuses in Loon and Pilar. BCST Pilar is located at Poblacion Pilar, Bohol and BCST Loon Campus is located at Canhangdon Occidental Loon, Bohol. BCST Loon and Pilar started its operation last June 13, 2010.
